basilica.ro Basilica News and OCP News Service – 26/10/2025 Bucharest-Romania: The full iconography of the Romanian People's Salvation Cathedral (National Cathedral) was solemnly consecrated on Sunday, October 26, 2025, by His Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I and His Beatitude Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church. The event, a major manifestation marking the Centennial of the Romanian Patriarchate and the 140th anniversary of its autocephaly, was attended by over 8,000 clergy and believers, as well as two heads of state: President Maia Sandu of the Republic of Moldova and President Nicușor Dan of Romania.
